Milan it’s heaven for shopping addicted! There are boutiques and malls each and every corner, so just explore and take your time!
We will just point 4 areas in the city if you are short in time, with 4 VERY different price tags:
- CORSO BUENOS AIRES : one of the longest stretch of malls and boutiques in Europe. It runs all the way from Porta Venezia M1 to Loreto M1 and M2 passing next Lima M1, so you can get off in any of those and walk. You will find shops, boutiques and malls o both sides of Corso Buenos Aires, you if you are really a shopping professional, you’d better get off at one end, walk to the other end on one side and then take the other side up to were you started from. Price tag: $$
- QUADRILATERO DELLA MODA (Fashion District): think of a stylist.. any…and you will find his or her boutique here. The area is quite small to be walkable, mostly for window shopping or to spot famous football players buying a pair of sock for hundreds. Metro stop : San Babila M1 or Montenapoleone M3. Price tag: $$$$$$2.
- CHINATOWN: not the place to look for Made in Italy quality stuff, but it could be fun and shurely cheap. Get off at Monumentale M5. Also a very interesting area for nightlife, have a read here. Price tag: $
- VIA TORINO : another crowded area full of shops, leading to Canals area (where most of the nightlife is, read here) from the historical city center. Get off in Duomo M1 and M3 or Missori M3. Price tag: $$$
